Summer Beauty Favorites

The summer can bring some predicaments to your normal make up and hair routine. The heat can make your make up sweat off and the humidity can pull your curls out and tangle your hair. It can be  rough ladies, do you agree? I thought I would share my  current beauty favorites that I have been using all summer long during this heat!  

My favorite primers are always from e.l.f.  as they are super effective and come at an awesome price. I most recently purchase this one and I have to say, it deserves to keep its name “radiant glow”. It has a beautiful shimmer to it that lays nicely underneath the other products I use on top of the primer. I highly recommend it and it’s only $6!

I have mentioned it before, my favorite moisturizer is this one from Clinque (the yellow one) and I like to mix if with my favorite foundation, Mac’s Studio Waterweight foundation, found here.  I actually squirt a medium size drop of both into my hands and mix them together before applying to my face.

I do not contour everyday, however, when I occasionally do for a date night or so, I swear by this Anastasia contour kit. I love how creamy the palette is and how easy it is to blend into my skin. Contour has become the rage lately, and Anastasia is a name a ton of beauty bloggers and celebrities wear a lot! 

I almost always have mascara on before I leave the house. I feel like I look so young without it, almost like a small child!  My favorite mascara is here (the white side) followed by this one (the black side). 

Last but most certainly not least, I tend to always have some shade of lipstick on. I think it brightens my face and I feel the more comfortable with lipstick on than eyeliner or heavy eye make up. I am a die hard Mac cosmetics matte lipstick girl, my absolute favorite shade in the entire world is Candy Yum Yum. It’s bright but you should try it! 

I recently tried the  Twenty2Cosmetics lipstick line, I really like how smooth and creamy the lipsticks were.  You can see in the one photo above the four different colors that I had received. I wear more pinks, corals and reds so I didn’t try the deep violet or brown color. Perhaps I’ll branch out and try them once Fall is here!
