Hello! How’s everyone doing? The quarantine social distancing is starting to take quite a toll. I’m sure we all are beginning to feel restricted and trapped and a little depressed. These are totally normal feelings. What you are feeling is valid and it’s okay, it’s going to be okay.
For me, I’m starting to feel myself get annoyed and upset much quicker. I feel like it’s been way longer than one week of qurantining. Pat and I have been trying to run every day-he’s better at it than me! Our goal is two miles but I def. have to stop and walk a little before I pick back up! We are still walking our mile loop every night before we go upstairs for bed. I love ending our night this way. It’s a great way to reflect on our day together and to focus on each other.
I am really struggling with not being able to get to the gym. I love my weight training routines and while I enjoy doing at home work outs, I have realized that I am certainly missing lifting heavier weights. I need my squat rack back, please! It makes me feel strong!
I keep telling myself that this is a time in our lives where we need to focus on the greater good and that’s social distancing. No one likes the current state that we have found ourselves in, but if we all do our part in staying home, then we will come out on top much sooner.
Given the circumstances, at home work out have become a huge priority. I downloaded the Tone It Up app the other day and have been selecting a random work out to complete at home. It’s currently free or I’m picking free work outs, but I really recommend trying it!
YouTube is also a great source to get you moving. You can simply search, “at home barre work outs”, “15 minute abs” and so on! I put it on the tv and usually find one or two to do at a time!
About my outfit- I have talked about these leggings before, but they are an Amazon find and I think they are wonderful! They are only $24 and are a super buttery material. They come in almost 20 colors and I wear size S 4-6! They aren’t as amazing as the Lululemon Align 7/8 pants that I absolutely love, however, they are a fraction of the price!
I am wearing a size medium in this Nike Air Sports bra– It’s a low support bra, it’s great for upper body work outs, yoga, pilates, anything low intensity. I do not run in this bra, I need more support for high intensity and cadrdio!
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Hang in there, we will all get through this together!
