The coat categories I shared in my latest video: trench coats, wool blazer, stackers, moto jackets, coatigan, puffer/quilted jacket and wool coats. Where you live, of course, is the largest factor in deciding which style of coat is needed and how many are needed per season. I mentioned in my video, this Old Navy blazer and this Mango blazer for me, would be an outerwear piece since our winters are more mild in NC! I don’t think you need a coat from each category, it really comes down to your needs, the functionality you need from your coats!
