Today I am sharing How to Wear Luxy Halo Hair Extensions that I am obsessed with!
I have always wanted thicker and longer hair. I remember, as a young girl, I would make comments to my Mom about Jennifer Lopez’s hair asking how she got her hair to be so long and “big”. It’s the first thing I notice with other women, and it’s something I have always wanted more of-longer and thicker hair!
Hair extensions are something I can go in phases with. I’ll go through a phase where I wear extension clips in the entire day, regardless if we have plans or not, but then I’ll go through a phase where the single thought of them, makes me not want to ever wear them again. Clip ins are an entire process. It’s easily a 25 minute ordeal, layering them in, teasing your hair, adding the next extension layer and so on. I feel after wearing for a couple of hours I am ready to get them out of my head.
This all changed for me when Luxy Hair set me their Halo Set in shade chestnut brown. It’s like a perfect match that blends seamlessly with my own hair. The halo is so easy to attach to your head. I have to say that this is my favorite “hair” or “beauty” product I have ever received. I think the transformation is incredible, the halo is super lightweight and so easy to place. I can literally have that longer and thicker hair that I have always wanted within 60 seconds & I can wear them for hours upon hours and forget they are even in my hair!
I wanted to break it down, step by step, on how to wear the halo set. I will share a video of this on my instagram (@brittanyanncourtney) that might be visually more helpful for you girls!
The below image is before I add any extensions. I just got about three inches cut off when I was home in Pittsburgh!
Step One:
Part your hair per usual. Use a rat comb (pointed ended comb) to horizontally draw a line about one and a half inches back from the start of your hair line on both size. Let those two pieces fall forward.
Step Two:
Draw a horizontal line from the middle of your ear to the other ear. Pull the top of the hair into a bun on top of your head. It doesn’t have to be the most perfect line!
Step Three:
Lift halo hair extension around the bun, placing the clear strap on the hair line. The hair extension set comes with different strap lengths so you can determine what the absolute best fit is for your head!
Step Four:
Clip the weft onto the back hair line. There are two wefts to keep the hair extensions in place. Literally you can be in a tornado and it’s completely good to go!
Step Five:
Undo the bun, let hair fall down. Brush all over the hair to blend hair together and smooth where strap is! The halo extension is ideal for medium length hair. The halo hair extension measures to 20 inches. If you have longer hair than 20 inches or super short hair, you will want to look at a full set of clip ins to give you that length or a more seamless blend.
That’s it! Done in under 60 seconds. The Luxy Hair Extensions are nice and thick and are so easy to clip in. I feel like it’s just a big difference and I feel beautiful when it’s all in! In my opinion, it’s a big transformation, but when I have them in, none of my friends ever notice! So I will certainly take that as a compliment, that it looks absolutely natural, that it looks just like my own hair! You can style as you normally would or you can stop here!
I like to use my T3 curling wand to add in loose curls. I like my hair loosely curled lately, so I actually curl it quickly and then brush through it! The brush I always use is this wet brush, you can buy a two pack of them for $15!
Two products I thoroughly enjoy using on my hair is Moroccan Oil Luminous Hair Spray & the Protect and Prevent Spray. The hair spray has a medium weight hold, which I like since I am always flipping my hair over my head or brushing it out of my face. I do not like anything stiff in my hair and this hair spray is fantastic for a light hold. It doesn’t have that awful chemical smell either! The Protect and Prevent Spray is used as protection against environmental aggressors such as pollution and UV, but it also adds shine and moisture. It’s great to keep hair detangled too!
