Spring has sprung and I am one happy girl! Pat and I literally stumbled upon this little tulip farm. We heard it on the news and was able to catch going on the very last day it was opened! It was about a half hour from where we live, near Pat’s work so it was pretty easy to get to! We literally dropped what we were doing at home and I threw my favorite jean skirt on- it’s true to size, only $60- and headed out the door. I think tulips are just so so pretty despite they have a shorter life when you pick them and display them in a vase! Have you guys heard of the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Oregon or the Carlsbad Flower Fields in LA? Let’s say, on my bucket list for sure! We got to this little farm with about an hour before closing so the lighting was certainly a bit tough to shoot in, but nonetheless I hope you can tell it’s super cute!
I have really grown in appreciating flowers and outdoor spaces as I have gotten older. I have always enjoyed being outside playing sports or laying by the pool but I find myself needing to be outside for extended periods of time regardless of the season. I hope when we have a house one day (soon, we hope!) we can really create a beautiful and relaxing outdoor space. I actually have started looking into different flowers, plants and even a few trees and bushes that we could plant in this climate. Hello azaleas, wisteria and crepe myrtles! 🙂
I am going to post an instagram round up on Friday and then will be taking the following week off from posting on here! So much time and thought goes into each post and while I was able to keep to my posting schedule for this week by working a whole week ahead, I am going to really enjoy this next week with my……HUSBAND!
